Cogeneration Power Stations in Moscow
Everyone knows that cogeneration (generating electricity at a power plant and using the waste
heat for heating) is much more efficient than generating electricity alone (at least in the winter,
when you can use the excess heat!). But then you have to have power plants in your cities. Well,
Moscow shows what this is like... the city is full of power plants and is heated by central heating
from these power plants (which burn natural gas).

On the Oka and Volga...
This bridge on the Oka river is a floating bridge... but about 100 yards of it
can also turn. They just unhook it, hook up a motorboat and drag it open, then after
you've gone through they drag it closed.
